A friend and I recently revamped The Deep Cuts. I rebuilt the site from scratch and added 'new' games while he hosts it on his server and pays for the domain every year. With how much we both have been working on this thing I would go as far as calling it one of our biggest projects to date. I don't want to turn this blogpost into an advertisement but do check it out if you're into RPG Maker games.

We also implemented a new booru recently for RPG Maker art, but we plan to add a forum as well. I can't wait to have people I can yell to about indie RPG Maker crap.

Today I decided to redesign the entire site from scratch. I'm aware a few things are currently missing from it right now, like the AMVs, reviews, discoveries, etc. I don't know if I'll bring back the reviews considering I don't review things often but maybe I'll add a fanfiction section to replace them, idk. I do plan on restoring the rest eventually.

Recently I've noticed how hard it is for me to make friends online. Back then Xat and Deviantart was my go-to place to meet people from the same fandoms I was in. These days those sites are a shell of their former self and everything has moved over to Discord and Reddit which I'm not exactly fond of.

Discord stresses me out. I already find it hard to talk to the people I know (mainly cause they're more like acquaintances than actual friends), let alone interact and befriend random people in a community of like 200 ppl.

Reddit is a pathetic bastardization of what user forums used to be like in the 00's and early 10's.

I really wish it was easier to make friends. I really wish I didn't have to use Discord and all my friends could move to a better service like Escargot, IRC or something.
